On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of February seven members of our society attended a hackathon at the University of St Andrews. The hackathon was organised by the St Andrews Computing Society and Major League Hacks, and with the support of sponsors Bloomberg, JP Morgan and Palantir. Each of the sponsors presented a challenge for hackers to attempt and also offered prizes for the best hack to attempt their challenge.

Our attending members were split into two teams. You can find out more about these two teams and their submissions on ChallengePost. Our submissions were Misery Mapping and Unity Crime Viewer.

The hack produced by team Misery Mapping was recognised by Palantir, and the team was awarded a visit to their London office.
