StirHack is an annual hackathon hosted at Stirling University.
We are giving 24 hours for students to innovate, design and code their ideas to life. Whether you are just a beginner or an experienced programmer you are welcome to our event this March. Our goal is to connect you to people who know programming the best, and can guide through the journey of building a project.
We want to encourage future developers with awarding the best hacks in StirHack.
Who can participate?
Any currently enrolled university student can register and attend our event.
Is this hackathon free?
YES! It is completely free!
What should I bring?
Bring your student ID, laptop with a charger, any hardware you would like to work on, toiletries, and some sleeping gear if you want to get comfy!
Will I need to buy my own food?
Not at all! We are very thankful for our sponsors, they help us out with taking care of your stomachs while you are focused on your geniusness!
Do I need to have a team?
You are welcome to come with a team, but you don't have to. We will group people who are not coming with a team, so don't worry. The best team size would be 4, since most prizes for a team will be for 4 people.
Can I use code I’ve written previously?
We want the experience to be fair for everyone, therefore, we expect everyone to start their projects at the hackathon. However, you can use any public open source projects and APIs in your project.
Can I sleep at the event?
We will have some rooms for resting. Bring something to make your resting experience better.
Will I get travel reimbursements?
Unfortunatelly, we can't organise any transport or provide any travel reimbursements.
